UNIVERSITY CLINIC FOR GENERAL, VISCERAL, VASCULAR AND TRANSPLANT SURGERY

Team Dr. med. Maximilian Dölling

In my role as a clinical scientist at Universitätsklinikum Magdeburg, I am dedicated to
understanding the physiological and molecular effects of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs).
My research focuses on how NETs impact the healing processes post-surgery, particularly in
cancer patients. Additionally, I investigate the role of immunological processes in metastasis.
This work, supported by the Brigitte und Dr. Konstanze Wegener-Stiftung, is driven by a
commitment to improving surgical outcomes and enhancing patient recovery.

Med. Doktorand
My research focuses on the detection and analysis of neutrophil extracellular
traps (NETs) and their influence in inflammatory diseases. In particular, I am
investigating the unclear pathophysiology of acute appendicitis and the genesis
of aggregate formation.
